Only 110 km from Cape Town (less than 90 min), nestled under the Witzenburg mountains.
It is just 15km from Ceres and 25km from Tulbagh.
If you are looking for a peaceful, tranquil getaway where you can spend quality time with your family then this will make for an amazing option.
There are three accommodation options to choose from. There is a cottage, a farm house and a family house. We stayed in the farm house which sleeps 4 – 6 people.
From the kitchen window the view of the mountains was always a sight to behold. The kitchen and bathrooms were modern and comfortable. The grass outside the front entrance was enclosed with a gate, this gave us complete privacy from the other accommodation options and also allowed us to let our kids run around with complete peace of mind.
The wood fired hot tub in the front of the farmhouse looked like it would have been absolutely amazing. The enclosed space next to the hot tub also looked like so much fun to roast marshmallows around the fire there.
Exploring the farm and all the pathways and seeing all the fruit trees were where we spent most of our days. I highly recommend taking your kids bicycles with you. Cycling through the fruit orchids and all the muddy puddles were the highlight for our kids.
You can also carry your fishing rods to fish in the dam.
There is a nice 4km trail that takes you around a part of the farm. You just follow the footprints sign to stay on the pathway.
