4 Amazing Free Places to visit in the Cape Town CBD area

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Signal Hill

The iconic Signal Hill is a beautiful spot to view a sunset or a sunrise with an exceptional view of the Cape Town coastline.

Company Gardens

This is a lovely spot in Cape Town to enjoy a walk in beautiful scenery. It was created originally in the 1650s.

You will more than likely see a few squirrels which the kids always find fascinating.

There is also a restaurant (not halaal though) where you can chill. Outside the restaurant there are swings the kids can enjoy.

Adjacent to the Company Gardens is the Iziko South African Museum (which requires an entrance fee). A highlight in this museum is the Planetarium and Digital Dome.

Sea Point Promenade

This is a very well known spot for sunrise and sunset walks. It boasts spectacular views of the ocean making it an amazing place to experience.

A Park for Kids to enjoy

There is a park between the Blue Train Park and the lighthouse that is really exciting for kids. Aside from the amazing jungle gym equipment, swings and slides there is a track where kids can ride their bikes, scooters, roller skates etc.

This park is one of our favourites in and around the CBD.

Please note that it does get quite busy and parking can be an issue. I would suggest to park a bit further away and enjoy a beautiful walk to this park.
